China's crude steel output down 0.3% in Dec

China’s crude steel production in December stood at 67.05 million mt, up 1.4% month on month but down 0.3% year on year.

SHANGHAI, Jan 18 (SMM) – China’s crude steel production in December stood at 67.05 million mt, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on Thursday January 18, up 1.4% month on month but down 0.3% year on year.

Pig Iron production last month was 54.72 million mt, down 0.3% month on month and 4.8% on a yearly basis. China’s finished steel production was 87.79 million mt, up 1.1% month on month but down 8.3% year on year.
