CSPT First Round of TC/RCs Negotiations Ends without Agreement

SHANGHAI Nov. 2 (CBI China)--Last week in Shanghai, the China Smelters Purchase Team (CSPT) ended the first round of talks with major copper mine operators for the 2008 contracted treatment and refining charges (TC/RCs) without reaching an agreement.

CSPT consists of the nine largest Chinese copper smelters. The team holds negotiations with global copper mine operators at the end of each year to discuss contract details.
