China Reports Sufficient Zinc Concentrate Supply in February, with TCs up

90% domestic zinc smelters reported sufficient zinc concentrate supply in February, Shanghai Metals Market survey finds.

SHANGHAI, Mar. 10 (SMM) – 90% domestic zinc smelters reported sufficient zinc concentrate supply in February, Shanghai Metals Market survey finds.   

Supply at most zinc smelters is healthy, despite of production suspension at mines, according to SMM survey. 

TCs for domestic zinc concentrate at some smelters in Hunan and Henan were raised by 100-150 yuan per tonne following the Chinese New Year holiday, with mainstream TCs between 5,300-5,500 yuan per tonne in February. 

Earlier, 2015’s term TCs for zinc concentrate were set at $245 per dmt, SMM learnt from the meeting held by The International Zinc Association on Feb. 15-18.
