SHANGHAI, Mar. 3 (SMM) – TCs for zinc concentrate of term shipment to Chinese buyers are expected between $180-220 per dmt, according to Shanghai Metals Market sources.
2015’s term TCs for zinc concentrate have been set at $245 per dmt, SMM learns from the meeting held by The International Zinc Association on Feb. 15-18.
The price is based on a benchmark LME zinc price of $2,000 per tonne and fluctuation in the range of -2.5% through 9%.
This year’s hike in TCs for zinc concentrate is greater than the last two years. This suggests that zinc concentrate supplies will remain sufficient through 2015 despite mine closures around the world.
A rise is also expected for TCs for China’s domestic zinc concentrate thanks to the hike in terms contract, SMM foresees.
