SHANGHAI, Aug. 19 (SMM) -- Market views were mixed with the absence of key economic data, and LME base metals prices were mixed as well. LME zinc prices opened slightly higher, and later hit the daily high of USD 2,155/mt. However, LME zinc prices failed to hold steady at the high level, with prices mainly fluctuating between USD 2,113-2,150/mt, and finally prices ended at USD 2,140/mt, up USD 17/mt. Trading volumes declined by over 17,000 lots compared with yesterday levels.
