SMM Morning Review - 2010/7/20 Zinc Market

SHANGHAI, July 20 (SMM) -- LME zinc prices fluctuated around USD 1,800/mt on Monday with the absence of additional economic news, with the highest level and lowest level at USD 1,825/mt and USD 1,785/mt, respectively, and finally prices ended at USD 1,810/mt, up USD 25/mt. Trading sentiment was bullish yesterday, but positions remained stable, an indication of a lack of clear market direction. Investors mainly made short-term deals, and LME zinc prices are expected to continue to fluctuate in a narrow band. SMM predicts SHFE 1010 zinc contract prices will continue to struggle at the RMB 15,000/mt mark today.
