SMM Morning Review - 2010/7/7 Zinc Market

SHANGHAI, July 7 (SMM) -- LME zinc prices opened low but moved higher during Asian trading hours on Tuesday partly driven up by China's stock and futures markets, and remained on an upward track last night, with prices finally closing at USD 1,840/mt. Technical indicators show an upward trend, so LME zinc prices are expected to rise further. SHFE zinc prices also advanced following China's stock markets yesterday, with SHFE 1010 zinc contract prices finally ending at RMB 15,390/mt, and SMM predicts SHFE 1010 zinc contract prices will return to a previous high recorded last week today.
