Atlas Unit Ships 5,277 Wet Tons Of Copper Concentrates To China

MANILA, Mar 28, 2010 (Dow Jones Commodities News via Comtex) -- Atlas Consolidated Mining & Development Corp. (AT.PH) said Monday its unit, Carmen Copper Corp., has completed its fifth shipment this year of copper concentrates to China.

The shipment, totaling 5,277 wet metric tons, contained 29.5% copper, 3.01 grams of gold per ton and 28.3 grams of silver per ton destined for Xiamen, China, the company said in a statement to the stock exchange.

The latest shipment brings the company's total exports of copper concentrates to 89,037 tons since the Carmen copper-gold project in the central Philippines started commercial operations a couple of years ago.
