Sichuan discovered 490,000 tonnes of lead-zinc ores and 500,000 tonnes of copper ores in 2015, chinamining.org reports.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 27 (SMM) - Sichuan discovered 490,000 tonnes of lead-zinc ores and 500,000 tonnes of copper ores in 2015, chinamining.org reports.

Other resources found last year include 1billion tonnes of iron ore, 200 million tonnes of coal and 100,000 tonnes of lithium.

The province tops China’s producing regions in terms of 16 mineral resources, including natural gas, vanadium and titanium.
