SHANGHAI, Nov. 27 (SMM) --
Zinc Concentrate:
According to the NBS, China's output of zinc concentrate was 339kt during October, up 7.9% MoM. YTD output was 2.44 million mt, down 7.7% YoY. Zinc concentrate output continues to increase on a monthly basis, and is line with a previous CBI forecast. However, zinc concentrate output in north China will begin to fall as the weather turns colder. China's output of zinc concentrate should decline during November and December as a result.
Refined Zinc:
According to NBS, China's output of refined zinc was 405.2kt during October, down 1.2% MoM. YTD output was 3.51 million mt, up 6.7% YoY. Output above 400kt in any month is cause for concern that domestic consumption in China is not strong enough to absorb this level of production.
