NEM.US to Acquire Australian Gold Miner Newcrest for $17 Billion

NEM.US made an interim offer to acquire Newcrest Mining Ltd, Australia's largest gold miner, which will be one of the largest acquisitions in Australia and the world so far. The data shows that the valuation of Newcrest is about $17 billion. Newcrest stocks once surged 14%, the biggest increase since 2008.
