According to customs data, China's exports of handheld power tools reached 64.92 million units from January to February 2025, a YoY increase of 20.8% compared to the same period in 2024. By category, most power tool exports saw growth from January to February 2025. Among them, "other portable power tools" exports increased by 29.4% YoY, showing significant growth. "Other portable chainsaws" and "portable electric drills" also performed well, with increases of 25.3% and 18.3% YoY, respectively. "Portable electric sanding tools" exports rose by 8.7% YoY. Only "portable electric planers" exports decreased by 6.3% YoY.

China is the world's largest producer and exporter of power tools. From January to February 2025, China's portable power tools were sold to 200 countries and regions. The US, Russia, and Germany remained the top three importers. From January to February 2025, US exports reached 10.3019 million units, accounting for 15.87%, up 25.05% YoY, continuing the growth trend. Russian exports were 3.781 million units, accounting for 5.82%, down 16.28% YoY. German exports were 3.7426 million units, accounting for 5.76%, up 1.52% YoY, with a relatively small growth rate. Spain saw the largest increase in exports, with 2.54 million units exported from January to February 2025, up 248.61% YoY.
