[Indonesia Approves RKAB for 63 Nickel Mines in Southeast Sulawesi] Muhammad Hasbullah, Head of the Mineral and Coal Division at the Southeast Sulawesi Energy and Mineral Resources Agency, stated on Wednesday that as of February 10, 2025, Indonesia's Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) had approved the work plan and budget (RKAB) applications submitted by 63 nickel mining companies in Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra), granting them RKAB quotas. Previously, these 63 companies had submitted documents to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to apply for three-year RKAB quotas. The companies granted RKAB quotas are located in several regencies in Southeast Sulawesi, including Konut, Konsel, Konkep, Konawe, Kolaka, Kolut, Bombana, Buteng, and Buton.
