According to the latest customs data, China's total nickel sulphate imports were 4,406 mt in nickel content in April, up 15% MoM and up 466% YoY. Exports were 888 mt in metal content, up 297% MoM and 13% YoY. The net imports were 3,518 mt in metal content, down 3% MoM and 45,172% YoY. The slight increase in imports was brought by South Korea, with nickel sulphate arrivals from other countries holding stable. The significant increase in exports mainly came from the growing demand from South Korea and Japan. It is expected that nickel sulphate imports in May will stay relatively steady.
