China’s PV module output may drop below 30GW in February amid persistent demand weakness

Last week, the mainstream transaction price of domestic bifacial glass 182mm modules was 0.86-0.99 yuan/w, while the price for bifacial glass 210mm modules was 0.88-1.01 yuan/w.

Last week, the mainstream transaction price of domestic bifacial glass 182mm modules was 0.86-0.99 yuan/w, while the price for bifacial glass 210mm modules was 0.88-1.01 yuan/w. PV module prices last week were stable with minor changes; spot prices held while tender prices hit a low of 0.76 yuan/w. Downstream demand is weak; solar cell and module markets feel worse than polysilicon and silicon wafer sectors. SMM predicts February's domestic PV module output may drop below 30GW.
