Global Installed Capacity Of Batteries For Electric Vehicles Soared During January-October, With CATL Dominating

Data released by South Korean market research organization SNE Research on December 6 shows that from January to October this year, the installed capacity of batteries for electric vehicles (electric, plug-in hybrid, hybrid) registered globally totaled 552.2 gigawatt hours (GWh), a year-on-year increase of 44%.

Data released by South Korean market research organization SNE Research on December 6 shows that from January to October this year, the installed capacity of batteries for electric vehicles (electric, plug-in hybrid, hybrid) registered globally totaled 552.2 gigawatt hours (GWh), a year-on-year increase of 44%. In the first 10 months of 2023, CATL’s power battery installation volume increased by 51.1% year-on-year, ranking first in market share.
