Codelco's Andina Copper Mine (with output of 177,000 mt of copper content in 2022) resumed production after a brief outage caused by the floods in Chile. The key infrastructure equipment of the mine was not affected, though some roads in the mining area were washed away.

The production of the El Teniente underground mine of Codelco (with an annual output of 405,000 mt of copper content in 2022) was not affected by the weather, but a technician died due to an electrical accident, which caused the mine to stop production and began to investigate the cause of the accident.

According to SMM survey, before the electrical accident at the El Teniente underground mine, the logistics efficiency had been reduced due to water accumulation on the surface of the mine and traffic restrictions on the road.
