Microsoft is teaming up with AMD to help the latter's expansion into the artificial intelligence processor space, sources close to the matter have previously revealed. The two companies are reportedly working together to provide an alternative to the AI chip market, which is dominated by Nvidia. Microsoft spokesman Frank Shaw denied AMD's involvement in the "Athena" development program and said that AMD was a good partner, but it was not involved in the program.
