SHANGHAI, Mar 10 (SMM) - SMM data showed that China’s DMC output rose 8.54% MoM to 177,900 mt in February. The operating rates in February increased to 82.27% in light of the strong consumption amid the traditional peak season.

SMM data showed that China’s DMC output rose 8.54% MoM to 177,900 mt in February. DMC output continued to increase as silicone market ushered in the traditional peak season as the real estate industry recovered after the Chinese New Year holiday. In early February, demand for #107 silicone rubber and the delivery was active after the logistics services were recovered. Meanwhile, overseas demand has also been slightly boosted. On the other hand, driven by strong demand in February, domestic enterprises increased their production to full capacity and some production lines that were suspended in the early stage also resumed, which led to an increase in domestic DMC output in February.
