The pig iron production affected by blast furnace maintenance stood at 909,100 mt during August 27 and September 2, down 176,600 mt from the last session.

SHANGHAI, Aug 30 (SMM) –  The pig iron production affected by blast furnace maintenance stood at 909,100 mt during August 27 and September 2, down 176,600 mt from the last session. The pig iron production cut is estimated at 862,800 mt in the following session (September 3 to 9), down 46,300 mt from the current session, according to SMM statistics.

In terms of construction steel, the production cut due to maintenance stood at 711,700 mt in the current session, down 161,200 mt from the previous session. The production cut is estimated at 658,700 mt in the next session, down 53,000 mt.

For HRC, the production affected by the maintenance amounted to 226,600 mt in the current period, up 7,400 mt from last week. The amount affected the next period is estimated at 82,200 mt, down 144,400 mt on a weekly basis.

In terms of cold rolling and galvanizing, the production affected by the maintenance reached 73,900 mt in the current period, 32,200 mt less than that in the last week. The amount affected is estimated at 67,900 mt next week, down 6,000 mt on a weekly basis.

In terms of medium-thickness plate, the production cut due to maintenance stood at 80,900 mt in the current session, a week-on-week increase of 5,500 mt from the previous session. The production cut is estimated at 34,800 mt in the next session, down 46,100 mt week-on-week.
