[Biden: Tritium US electric vehicle charging pile factory will have a "chain reaction". According to foreign media reports, US President Biden said that Australian electric vehicle charging company Tritium DCFC will set up a charging pile plant in Tennessee, which will have a "chain reaction" that will benefit American workers and the entire planet.

According to foreign media reports, US President Joe Biden said that Australian electric car charging company Tritium DCFC will set up a charging pile factory in Tennessee, which will have a "chain reaction" that will benefit American workers and the entire planet.

Lebanon, which is located east of Nashville, Tennessee, is expected to produce as many as 30, 000 electric vehicle charging piles and create 500 jobs a year, according to the White House. Biden said it would be "fast and easy" to recharge electric cars in the United States. "the construction of the plant will help build the United States and help US automakers promote the development of electric vehicles, which means more high-paying jobs will be created in the battery, materials and parts industries."

On Feb. 8, Tritium CEO Jane Hunter said Tritium decided to invest more in the U.S. because of a surge in demand for electric car charging piles after the Biden administration passed an infrastructure bill last year. This accelerated the company's plan to open a plant in North America and set an annual production forecast for charging piles.

Tritium listed on Nasdaq in January and plans to transfer some of its executive positions to the US as part of its growing focus. "this is a huge shift for the company, and we expect the North American market to expand again next year and may even replace our traditional main source of revenue, the European market," Hunter said in an interview.

Tritium said it had previously assessed possible locations for several plants, including Texas, and eventually located Tennessee, taking into account tax breaks, logistics advantages and labor. Hunter added that many workers at the plant need only a few weeks of training to start producing charging facilities.

The White House has said it aims to build at least 500000 charging stations for electric vehicles by 2030, creating a charging network across the country. According to the infrastructure bill announced by the United States, about $65 billion will be spent on upgrading National Electroweb, $7 billion will be used to support the electric vehicle supply chain, and $7.5 billion will be devoted to the construction of charging stations.

The first tranche of $5 billion for charging stations is expected to be released over the next five days, with Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm announcing how much each state will receive later this week. The federal government plans to designate installation routes along the interstate highway system so that drivers can use charging stations.

If the plan is completed, it will mean a significant increase in the number of charging stations available, which automakers hope will ease the anxiety of consumers who are reluctant to give up on cars with internal combustion engines. The U.S. Department of Energy estimates that there are currently about 122000 electric vehicle charging facilities in about 48000 locations in the United States.
