SHANGHAI, Nov 15 (SMM) – China produced 101.74 million mt of steel semi and finished products in October, down 14.9% on the year. The output totalled 1.22 billion mt from January to February, up 2.8% on the year.
The output of crude steel stood at 71.58 million mt, down 23.3% on the year, and the output from January to October fell by 0.7% year on year to 877.05 million mt.
China produced 63.03 million mt of pig iron in October, a decrease of 19.4% year on year. The output totalled 734.07 million mt in the first ten months, down 3.2% on the year.
