SHANGHAI, Oct 20 (SMM) - The operating rates of blast furnaces at steel mills fell 1.3% on the week and rose 1.4% from a month ago to 78% as of October 20, SMM survey showed.
The production restriction policy intensified in late October from the level in the first half of the month. The blast furnaces operating rates are likely to fall again in the following week amid the upcoming heating season in winter.
