SHANGHAI, Oct 20 (SMM) – According to a securities company, in September, the domestic output of ternary cathode batteries stood at 9.63GWh, accounting for 41.56% of total output, an increase of 102.74% year-on-year and an increase of 15.05% month-on-month. The output of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries stood at 13.51GWh, accounting for 58.31% of total output, an increase of 251.82% year-on-year and an increase of 21.82% on the month. It is already the fifth consecutive month that the output of LFP battery exceeds that of ternary cathode battery.
In September, the installed capacity of ternary cathode battery recorded 6.14GWh, while 9.54Wh of LFP batteries were installed, giving LFP batteries the lead over ternary batteries for the third consecutive time in terms of installation capacity.
