China's lead production in August was 594000 tons, up 1.7 per cent from the previous month and up 1.7 per cent from a year earlier, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics. China's lead production totaled 4.706 million tons from January to August, up 15.9 per cent from a year earlier. According to SMM research, in August, the impact of power cuts continued in Yunnan, Henan and Hunan, and major enterprises took turns to limit production. In September, the smelting enterprises with power cuts in August gradually recovered, while Yunnan Mengzi overhauled, Hunan Yuteng and Anhui copper crowns finished overhauling in August, the output continued to recover in September, while Inner Mongolia Xing'an silver lead entered routine maintenance in September.
