SHANGHAI, Aug 24 (SMM) – Social inventories of primary lead in Shanghai and Guangdong continued to decrease this week as purchasing enthusiasm across downstream consumers improved in a rebounding market, SMM research found as of Friday August 24.
Inventories across the two regions fell by 2,100 mt over the week ended August 24 to 11,900 mt. This came after a decline of some 1,800 mt in the previous week.
This week, prices of secondary lead deterred downstream consumers. Ex-factory prices of secondary materials were offered flat from prices of SMM 1# primary lead. Prices of secondary lead in Jiangxi even exceeded those of primary lead.
