The price of lithium hexafluorophosphate is expected to rise to 400000 yuan / ton? A list of the production capacity of 10 manufacturers

The price of lithium hexafluorophosphate is expected to rise to 400000 yuan / ton? Production capacity of 10 manufacturers] some industry insiders pointed out that the current quotation of lithium hexafluorophosphate has exceeded 350000 yuan / ton, and there is still an upward trend at present, and the follow-up price may rise to 400000 yuan / ton, close to the all-time high in 2016. Whether the price of lithium hexafluorophosphate continues to rise or fall, it is certain that its demand will maintain its growth trend.

On June 23, Shouchuang Securities released a research report saying that with the boost in demand for new energy vehicles, the prosperity of the lithium electricity market has driven the rapid growth of demand for lithium hexafluorophosphate. At this stage, the scale of lithium hexafluorophosphate industry continues to expand, production capacity is concentrated to the head, small manufacturers affected by the low profits of the last round of price downward cycle have no intention to participate in the war, and the leading concentration continues to rise. therefore, the cyclical price fluctuation of lithium hexafluorophosphate in the future will give way to growth and enter the stage of stable and rising volume.

Zheshang Securities said that the price of lithium hexafluorophosphate was maintained at a considerable level during the period from 2015 to early 2017 (a high point of more than 400000 yuan / ton). This is mainly due to two core factors: first, new energy vehicles entered a small explosive period with policy support, power battery manufacturers sprung up like bamboo shoots after a spring rain, and there was not enough high-quality lithium hexafluorophosphate production capacity in the domestic market at that time. As a result, prices soared in a short period of time. Second, lithium carbonate, as an important upstream raw material of lithium hexafluorophosphate, has to face explosive growth in demand, and the rapid rise in prices in a short period of time has led to the transfer of costs downstream. With the decline of subsidies, the closure of a large number of battery factories, the rational growth rate of downstream demand, and the continuous release of capacity of new manufacturers, lithium hexafluorophosphate experienced a continuous downturn from 2018 to the first half of 2020.

Now, with the new energy blowing the horn of counter-attack, the strong demand for electrolyte will directly drive up the demand for lithium hexafluorophosphate, while the backward production capacity of the market which has experienced a long downturn has been cleared one after another. market production capacity and orders are gradually moving closer to high-quality leading enterprises. Zheshang Securities predicts that lithium hexafluorophosphate will remain high in 2021.

Some people in the industry pointed out that at present, the price of lithium hexafluorophosphate has exceeded 350000 yuan / ton, and there is still an upward trend, and the follow-up price may rise to 400000 yuan / ton, close to the all-time high in 2016.

However, in a recent survey, Tianci said that at present, the increase in the price of lithium hexafluorophosphate is mainly caused by the tension between supply and demand, and its price will have a certain downward risk as the pace of industrial production expansion accelerates.

No matter whether the price of lithium hexafluorophosphate continues to rise or fall, it is certain that under the rapid development of the new energy vehicle industry and the strong promotion of national favorable policies, the market demand for lithium hexafluorophosphate will maintain the growth trend.

From the announcements of listed companies, institutional research reports and public reports, Battery Network sorted out the production capacity of 10 lithium hexafluorophosphate companies, as follows:

Divine materials (002709)

According to a research report released by Zeshang Securities, by the end of 2021, Tianzhi material will have a production capacity of 35000 tons of lithium hexafluorophosphate, accounting for more than 40 per cent of China's total hexafluorine production capacity.

On the evening of June 17, Tianci issued three investment announcements, including the 150000 t / a liquid lithium hexafluorophosphate project. The project is expected to be put into production from the end of 2022 to the first half of 2023, and the product is planned for its own use.

According to Tianshi material, according to the company's previous new projects and capacity reserves, supply may be relatively tight by 2023, and the expansion of 150000 tons of liquid lithium hexafluorophosphate is mainly to meet subsequent market demand.

On the evening of May 27th, Tianci material said that the wholly-owned subsidiary signed a material supply framework agreement with Ningde Times, and Ningde Times will pay 675 million yuan in advance for the products. The "tide of looting" has further escalated.

Polyfluorodol (002407)

According to the research report released by Capital Securities, by the end of 2020, polyfluoroduo has a total production capacity of 10,000 tons of lithium hexafluorophosphate, and the new production capacity of 5000 tons has been completed at the end of April this year, and the equipment installation has been completed at the end of April this year. At present, the company has a total production capacity of 15000 tons of crystal lithium hexafluorophosphate and is the largest manufacturer of crystal lithium hexafluorophosphate. At the same time, the company is also accelerating the pace of expansion to widen the gap with its peers, and the leading position of crystal lithium hexafluorophosphate will remain stable.

According to the higher-than-expected growth of the new energy vehicle market and the trend of sustained growth in the future, the supply of lithium hexafluorophosphate will continue to be tight, Dofurdo said in May this year. The company will seize the market opportunity and plan the new production capacity in time, and strive to reach 30,000 tons by the end of 2022.

Yongtai Technology (002326)

On the evening of June 15, Yongtai Technology announced that the holding subsidiary Yongtaigao plans to raise 794 million yuan of self-raised funds to invest in an annual output of 20000 tons of lithium hexafluorophosphate and 1200 tons of related additives and 50000 tons of hydrofluoric acid industrialization project.
