[overnight] Lunni rose more than 2%, copper rose more than 1%, gold fell, gold held steady.

SMM5 March 25: yesterday, most of the outer disk metal market was red, Lun Copper rose 1.03%, Lun Aluminum rose 0.84%, Lun Pb fell 2.22%, Lun Zinc fell 0.77%, Lunni rose 2.05%, and Lunxi rose 0.02%. Lun Copper rose on Monday as a weaker dollar spurred moderate buying, but gains were limited on concerns about controls on industrial metal prices in China, a major consumer. Domestically, international copper rose 0.36%, shanghai copper rose 0.54%, shanghai aluminum fell 0.27%, shanghai lead fell 1.61%, shanghai zinc fell 0.04%, shanghai nickel rose 1.79%, shanghai tin rose 0.25%.

The dollar hovered near the 90 mark, falling 0.21% to 89.83 in late trading, slightly above the four-month low of 89.646 hit on Friday. The yield on the 10-year Treasury note fell 1.7 basis points to 1.60%. The 10-year break-even inflation rate was nearly flat at 2.45%.

U. S. stocks closed higher on Monday, while large-scale technology stocks and economic restart concept stocks generally rose. Investors are watching the trend of cryptocurrencies and waiting for key US inflation data this week to be released for monetary policy guidance. The Dow was up 186.14 points, or 0.54%, at 34393.98; the Nasdaq was up 190.18 points, or 1.41%, at 13661.17; and the S & P 500 was up 41.19, or 0.99%, at 4197.05.

On crude oil, international oil prices rose more than 3 per cent on Monday, driven by demand growth fuelled by novel coronavirus's vaccination, leaving traders optimistic that the market could absorb Iranian oil supplies that would flood the market if sanctions were lifted as a result of negotiations between the west and Tehran.

In precious metals, COMEX gold futures edged higher on Monday as a weaker dollar and lower U.S. Treasury yields increased the attractiveness of gold as investors waited for data to be released this week, which should help them assess the pace of the U.S. economic recovery.

In terms of data, the Chicago Federal Reserve National activity Index for April, the previous value of 1.71, expected 1.10, released 0.24.
