SHANGHAI, Mar 25 (SMM) — In February, China's cobalt sulphate output was 3,615 mt in metal content, down 16.6% month-on-month but up 99.6% year-on-year. Output fell at some cobalt salt plants amid the holiday of 7-10 days during CNY, coupled with fewer days in February.

In March, China's cobalt sulphate output is expected to stand at 4,267 mt in metal content, up 18% month-on-month and 21.4% year-on-year. In March, despite the tight raw material inventory of some companies, production schedules decreased. Some companies switched part of their production lines to cobalt sulphate due to rising demand.

Remarks: The ternary cobalt reduction trend, ternary precursor coefficient based on cobalt sulphate was adjusted from July 2020.
