In the past decade, the technological progress and cost of photovoltaic have fallen much faster than imagined. Data show that 10 years ago, 100 yuan per wafer, now as low as 3 yuan; 10 years ago, photovoltaic modules per watt of more than 30 yuan, now 1.6-1.7 yuan per watt. At the same time, the performance of photovoltaic products has also been greatly improved. In the past two years, photovoltaic grid electricity prices have continued to set new records in areas with good lighting resources and relatively low non-technical costs, and not long ago, the Portuguese project set a world record of 1.31 cents per kWh, equivalent to less than 10 cents per kilowatt-hour of electricity.

Li Zhenguo said: today, photovoltaic has achieved affordable access to the Internet in many parts of China.
