MIIT: China's Exports of Photovoltaic Products Exceeded $28.4 Billion in 2021

SHANGHAI, Feb 21 (SMM) -  The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued a document saying that the supply in the photovoltaic industry chain remained generally stable in 2021. The annual output of polysilicon, silicon, batteries and modules reached 505,000 mt, 227GW, 198GW and 182GW respectively, with year-on-year growth of 27.5%, 40.6%, 46.9% and 46.1% respectively. The battery efficiency hit a new high. The efficiency of P-type PERC battery in mass production reached 23.1%, the experimental efficiency of N-type TOPCon battery exceeded 25.4%, and the mass production speed of HJT battery was accelerated. Photovoltaic market demand continued to increase along with the accelerated global response to the climate change. In 2021, China's exports of photovoltaic products exceeded $28.4 billion.
