25% of new cars in Europe will be electric cars in 2025

SMM: it is reported that a study by the German Automotive Research Center Camnitz Automotive Research Institute (CATI) pointed out that by 2025, 1/4 of the cars produced in Europe will be pure electric vehicles.

Over the next five years, European car factories will produce more than 2 million electric vehicles, more than half of which will be made in Germany, which is a leader in European car manufacturing. At present, the proportion of registered electric vehicles in Germany has reached about 4%. Although the epidemic has brought some obstacles to the development of electric vehicles, the German government still hopes to put 10 million electric vehicles on the road by 2030.

European media reported: "in 2019, 17 factories in eight European countries produced a total of about 276500 electric vehicles." Researchers say electric vehicle capacity at 35 factories in 11 European countries will be twice as high in 2022 as in 2019. By 2025, Germany alone will produce 1.1 million electric vehicles a year. "

In order to promote electric vehicles, the Scottish government will include second-hand electric vehicles in the scope of low-carbon travel loans for the first time from September 28. After the expansion, individuals or companies can get an interest-free loan of up to 20,000 pounds for up to five years when buying second-hand electric cars.

The Scottish government has expanded the scope of interest-free loans to help consumers who want to buy electric cars but feel they are overpriced.

The loan, which will be made available to consumers through an "energy efficiency trust fund", will allow individuals and businesses to enjoy lower travel costs than gasoline and diesel cars, while supporting Scotland's zero-emission target. So far, Scotland has provided 85 million pounds in loans to help people give up fuel cars and switch to electric cars.
