Ministry of Industry and Information Technology releases regulations on access management of new energy vehicle manufacturers and products
Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released revised Regulations on Access Management of New Energy Vehicle Manufacturers and Products on August 19. According to the regulations, those who apply for access to new energy automobile manufacturers should meet the requirements of relevant national laws, administrative regulations and rules, automobile industry development policies and macro-control policies.
The applicant is the automobile production enterprise that has obtained access to road motor vehicle production enterprises, or a newly-built automobile production enterprise that has completed investment project procedures in accordance with the relevant state investment management regulations. If an automobile production enterprise produces new energy vehicles across product categories, it shall also complete the investment project procedures in accordance with the relevant state investment management regulations.
Panasonic plans to increase Tesla's battery production capacity by investing more than 100 million US dollars
Informed sources said today that Panasonic plans to increase Tesla's battery production capacity next year, and the investment scale is expected to exceed $100 million, which will increase the battery production capacity by about 10%. It is reported that Panasonic will invest in Gigafactory 1 battery factory. Gigafactory 1, located in State of Nevada, the United States, is invested and built by Tesla and Panasonic. It has 13 production lines, and Panasonic is mainly responsible for battery production in the factory.

It is reported that Tesla is cooperating with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) to develop HW 4.0 self-driving chip, which will be put into mass production in the fourth quarter of 2021. This product is produced by TSMC's 7nm process and adopts TSMC's advanced SoW packaging technology. Only about 25 chips can be cut from each 12-inch wafer. The new chips will be produced from the fourth quarter, with about 2,000 chips in the initial stage. It is expected to enter the full-scale production stage after the fourth quarter of next year.
Hymson will officially land on the STAR market, CATL, SVOLT and Tesla as its important customers
Another lithium battery equipment manufacturer has landed on the STAR market. Hymson made an initial public offering of shares and issued a letter of intent for listing on the STAR market on August 18. It is planned to publicly issue no more than 50 million A shares of common stock, all of which will be used for projects related to the company's main business. Among them, 800 million yuan will be used for the expansion project of laser and automation equipment and the construction project of R&D center of laser and automation equipment.
