Aluminium billet inventories slowed increase on week

Inventories of aluminium billet in China extended their increases this week but the rise slowed from a week ago due to increased shipments from warehouses.

SHANGHAI, Mar 5 (SMM) – Inventories of aluminium billet in China extended their increases this week but the rise slowed from a week ago due to increased shipments from warehouses. 


SMM data showed that stocks of 6063 aluminium billet across five major consumption areas in China rose 6,400 mt from February 27 to 218,900 mt as of March 5. This followed the stocks expanded 19,300 mt in the week ended February 27.


Inventory


Foshan, Guangdong – 97,600 mt
Wuxi, Jiangsu – 60,000 mt
Changzhou, Jiangsu – 22,100 mt
Huzhou, Zhejiang – 25,000 mt
Nanchang, Jiangxi – 14,200 mt
