Chromite port stocks dip 0.04% on week

Stocks declined 0.04% from Mar 29 to stand at 2.827 million mt as of Apr 4

SHANGHAI, Apr 8 (SMM) – Chromite (chrome ore) inventories across Chinese ports declined 0.04% from Friday March 29 to 2.827 million mt as of Thursday April 4, SMM data showed.

For the same period, stocks at Tianjin port shrank 1.2% to 1.6 million mt, stocks at Lianyungang port decreased by 13.6% to 190,000 mt, while stocks at Qinzhou port grew 15.8% to 580,000 mt.

Nickel Prices Drop: SMM 10-12% High-Grade NPI Down 17.2 Yuan, Indonesia NPI FOB Index Falls 2.06 $/mtu

[SMM Nickel Flash] The SMM average price of 10-12% high-grade NPI fell 17.2 yuan/mtu WoW to 1,035.8 yuan/mtu (ex-factory, tax included), while the Indonesia NPI FOB index average price dropped 2.06 $/mtu WoW to 131.2 $/mtu. At the beginning of the week, futures hit limit-down, and nickel prices fell sharply WoW, driving the emergence of arbitrage supplies sold at low prices, leading to a significant decline in high-grade NPI prices.
