Silicon traders slow restocking after Sep-Oct purchases

SHANGHAI, Oct 25 (SMM) – Restocking across silicon traders in the week to Thursday October 25 slowed after they stockpiled between the end of September to the start of October. Traders built stockpiles, driven by an upbeat outlook on silicon prices in the upcoming dry season.

Inventories at those traders accumulated but the orders that they received remained limited as of October 25, SMM learned.  

As of October 25, SMM assessed the price of non-oxygen #553 silicon at Kunming port flat on the week at 11,800-12,000 yuan/mt.
