Aluminium inventory grows as more deliveries arrive

China's inventory of aluminium, including SHFE warrants, inched up to 2.21 million mt as of Monday May 7

SHANGHAI, May 7 (SMM) – China's inventory of primary aluminium, including SHFE warrants, inched up to 2.21 million mt as of Monday May 7 as more deliveries arrived, according to SMM data.

This is up 12,000 mt from 2.2 million mt on Wednesday May 2.

Details are as follows:

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 896,000 mt

Shanghai – 458,000 mt

Nanhai, Guangdong – 395,000 mt

Gongyi, Henan – 205,000 mt

Hangzhou, Zhejiang – 146,000 mt

Tianjin – 56,000 mt

Linyi, Shandong – 33,000 mt

Chongqing – 23,000 mt
