Flash: Tin sees thin trading in Shanghai

Mainstream products in Shanghai’s tin market were heard trading at 147,500-149,500 yuan/mt on Wednesday January 31, SMM learned.

SHANGHAI, Jan 31 (SMM) – Mainstream tin was heard trading at 147,500-149,500 yuan/mt in the Shanghai market on Wednesday January 31, SMM learned. This compared with 148,000-149,000 yuan/mt at the start of this week. Yunnan Tin products were trading at a discount of 600 yuan/mt against the SHFE 1805 contract while other Yunnan brands were at 1,400-1,000 yuan/mt. Trading was slow due to the approaching Chinese New Year holiday.
