SHANGHAI, Dec 27 (SMM)- Operations at tin consuming companies in Kunshan city, Jiangsu province remained normal as the local government decided to delay the latest production restriction policy.

The Kunshan government issued a notice on Sunday December 24 ordering industrial enterprises to stop production as the city prepared for an annual environmental check on its water quality. A total of 270 companies in the sectors of printed circuit board (PCB) and semiconductor were on the list.

However, the city government has then decided to delay the implementation of the notice as the impact would be huge, sources told SMM.

They added that most companies were still producing as normal but have limited their pollutant emission.
