SHANGHAI, Sept. 18 (SMM) - Copper consumption by the new energy vehicle industry will grow in the future, said Zhou Sheng, International Copper Association’s China-based president.

China’s new energy vehicle output will reach 2 million by 2020. Each vehicle will weigh 40-50 kg, and the weight of high-end new energy vehicle will reach almost 100 kg, depending on battery and motor power.
