SHANGHAI, Jul. 26 (SMM) – Tin production in many parts of China has been affected by the central government’s one-month environmental protection inspections, SMM learned.

Tin smelters in Yunnan, Guangxi and Jiangxi suspended production from last week. Some private smelters in Yunnan have been closed for days, while smelters in Jiangxi almost completely shut down smelting, with restart date still in the air. China Tin Group has halted production for maintenance, which will last one month.
