SHFE Nickel Closes Lower (Jun. 8, 2016)

SHFE 1609 nickel started lower at RMB 68,500/mt overnight and dived to RMB 68,320/mt, to close at RMB 68,700/mt.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 8 (SMM) – SHFE 1609 nickel started lower at RMB 68,500/mt overnight and dived to RMB 68,320/mt, to close at RMB 68,700/mt.

SHFE 1609 nickel opened at RMB 68,680/mt on Wednesday and then grew to RMB 69,300/mt. In the afternoon, the contract ranged RMB 69,000-69,200/mt before ending at RMB 68,890/mt, off 0.12%. Trading volumes dropped 34,972 to 408,000 lots and positions were down 24,680 to 608,000.
