MMG said it plans to produce 250,000-300,000 tonnes (copper content) of copper concentrate in 2016, wenhua.com reports.

SHANGHAI, Feb. 1 (SMM) - MMG said it plans to produce 250,000-300,000 tonnes (copper content) of copper concentrate in 2016, wenhua.com reports.

The company also intends to produce 415,000-477,000 tonnes of copper and 120,000-135,000 tonnes of zinc in 2016. The company’s copper output was 207,528 tonnes in 2015.

[SMM Zinc Morning Comment] Overnight, the most-traded SHFE zinc 2605 contract opened at 23,680 yuan/mt. In early trading, SHFE zinc briefly rose to a high of 23,685 yuan/mt, after which bears added to their positions and SHFE zinc fluctuated downward all the way, hitting a low of 23,440 yuan/mt near the close.
