Kazakhstan-based KAZ Minerals said its copper production increased 16% in the first quarter of 2017 after new mine field stepped up production, wenhua.com reported.

SHANGHAI, Apr. 27 (SMM) - Kazakhstan-based KAZ Minerals said its copper production increased 16% in the first quarter of 2017 after new mine field stepped up production, wenhua.com reported.

The company focuses on large low-cost open-pit mine in Kazakhstan. It produced 52,000 tonnes of copper for the quarter ending March 31.
