SHFE 1601 nickel started at RMB 78,100/mt on Wednesday night and once fell below the 40-day moving average.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 22 (SMM) – SHFE 1601 nickel started at RMB 78,100/mt on Wednesday night and once fell below the 40-day moving average. Later, the contract rallies thanks to exit of shorts and closed at RMB 792,900/mt.

SHFE nickel opened at RMB 78,870/mt during Thursday trading session and ended the day at RMB 78,660/mt, edging up 0.68%. Trading volumes slid 16,764 to 547,000 lots and positions fell 20,238 to 235,000.
