BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The metal industry is the foundation of heavy industries. As metal has become the preferred choice of material for structures and manufacturing, advanced metal manufacturing technology has found its way into an increasing number of applications, such as IT products, medical equipment, and other industries.

Acknowledging the importance of the metal industry and its technology, the Kaohsiung City Government is actively promoting the upgrade and reform of the industry. By encouraging exhibitions and conferences in Kaohsiung, it aims to start communication between domestic and international industry players.

The Kaohsiung City Government thus officially supports Taiwan’s first and only industry specific exhibition “International Metal Technology Taiwan” which will be held on December 2-4, 2015 at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center.

On January 24, 2015, the Kaohsiung City Government declared its commitment to the MICE industry (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) and is currently promoting MICE in order to stimulate the industrial development and enhance the competitiveness in Kaohsiung. The formal establishment of the “Kaohsiung Exhibition Alliance” will create opportunities for new cooperation and attract international conferences, exhibitions and events.

Kaohsiung is the top choice for organizing the first edition of “International Metal Technology Taiwan” due to the city’s characteristic as the metal industry cluster of Taiwan. The Kaohsiung city government’s focus on supporting the transformation of the industry towards a high-tech, high value-added and eco-friendly industry, will allow the industry to prosper based on green thinking.

“International Metal Technology Taiwan” integrates the entire supply chain of the metal technology sector into one single event, creating a platform for industry players to showcase their products, find new business partners, better understand the Asian market, and be able to interact with professionals from all over the world.

The exhibition focuses on technological innovations and covers, amongst others, foundry technology, surface treatment, heat treatment, castings, forging, molding, joint and cut technology, raw materials, wires and tubes, finished and semi-finished products and engineering.

The presence of all relevant sectors and the comprehensive exhibit profile will create strong synergetic effects for exhibitors and visitors at the event.

Kaigo Co., Ltd. was founded 1978 in Taiwan and is a pioneer and key player of Taiwan’s exhibition and convention industry. The experienced exhibition organizer is a founding member of the Kaohsiung Exhibition Alliance and representative of numerous international exhibition companies.

Fed to Keep Large Banks' Capital Levels Unchanged, Postpones Stress Test Reforms Until 2027
The US Fed has announced that it will maintain the capital levels of large banks unchanged during the upcoming stress test cycle (corresponding to the 2026 cycle). At the same time, the US Fed is planning multidimensional reforms to this annual test, aiming to enhance its transparency. The US Fed's Vice Chair for Supervision, Bowman, revealed that adjustments to the stress capital buffer requirements for large banks will be postponed until 2027. This move is intended to provide the US Fed with sufficient time to evaluate potential flaws that may be exposed in its testing models when assessing banks' financial conditions under simulated economic downturn scenarios.
