SHANGHAI, Dec. 18 (SMM) – China’s Ministry of Finance released the Tariff Execution Plan 2015 recently, and SMM finds that copper foil has been removed from the import tariff list.
China imposed a 3% provisional import duty and a 4% most-favored-nation duty on copper foil with thickness of 0.15 mm or less (HS code 74101100) in 2014. But the product was not included in the Tariff Execution Plan 2015.
Customs reported China imported 18,221 tonnes of copper foil in October this year, down 5.8% year-on-year, with the average import price at $13,106.11 per tonne. January-October imports dropped 7.24% to 195,459 tonnes.
Tariffs on other copper products were left unchanged.
