Hailiang (002203.SZ) passed the proposal of the 150,000 mt/year high-performance copper foil materials at the nineteenth meeting of the seventh board of directors on November 7, 2021.

SHANGHAI, Nov 8 (SMM) – Hailiang (002203.SZ) passed the proposal of the 150,000 mt/year high-performance copper foil materials at the nineteenth meeting of the seventh board of directors on November 7, 2021. It agreed that the company will build the high-performance copper foil material project with an annual output of 150,000 mt.

The total investment of the project is estimated to be 8.9 billion yuan, including 6.9 billion yuan in fixed assets and 2 billion yuan in circulating funds.

South Korea to Exempt Tariffs on Overseas-Sourced Critical Minerals

On the 25th, it was confirmed that the South Korean government will exempt tariffs of 3–8% on critical minerals such as lithium, graphite, and rare earth elements when domestically owned companies directly produce and import them from overseas. The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy has pre-announced a new regulation outlining tariff exemptions for overseas resource development projects.
