SHANGHAI, Oct. 10 (SMM) – Baotou City of China's Inner Mongolia has eliminated 21,910 tpy of rare earth capacity by the end of September, local media reported.
34,610 tpy of rare earth capacity at nine companies were targeted for elimination this year according to the list released by Baotou’s Commission of Economy & Information Technology. It was reported the nine rare earth companies have been shut down and production equipment at five of them representing 21,910 tpy in capacity has been removed by the end the September. Equipment at the remaining four companies will be demolished by the end of October.
