Henan’s geological bureau has discovered over 100,000 tonnes of rare earth in Taiping Town, Xixia County, Henan Province, according to preliminary estimate, local media reported.

 

SHANGHAI, May 21 (SMM) – Henan’s geological bureau has discovered over 100,000 tonnes of rare earth in Taiping Town, Xixia County, Henan Province, according to preliminary estimate, local media reported.    
 
This marks the first discovery of rare earth in the province. The deposit contains largely light rare earth elements, such as cerium, lanthanum and neodymium, the media added.
